How can I book a commission?
To book a commission you must contact me via email: donovanboomart@gmail. com. I usually reply within 24 hours. Please make sure to provide me with enough information related to the kind of piece you'd like to commission me so I can accurately inform you regarding the price and also the timeline.Do I need to make a deposit to book a commission?
No. Although I usually book the commissions at the start of each month or on the 15th of each month, which means I'll send you an email regarding the payment a week before the respective date.Does the purchase of commercial rights apply to me?
If you're using my artwork to promote your writing and therefore generate revenue in any way, shape or form, then yes.
More specifically, if you're using my artwork to promote your book, if you want to sell merchandise/prints, or if you're going to post it on patreon, then you need to purchase commercial rights.
Commercial use of my artwork would be using/reproducing it in any way that is primarily intended for (or directed toward) commercial advantage or monetary compensation.What does "Patreon exclusivity" mean?
Patreon exclusivity is, in a manner of speaking, "limited commercial rights to the artwork". It means that you'll commission the artwork to be displayed on Patreon exclusively. You may post a "teaser" (cropped image) on your social media promoting the artwork and the link to your patreon.How long do you take to deliver a commission?
Usually between a month and three months. Unless there are extraordinary circumstances (like health related or family related) then I'll communicate the new delivery date with the commissioner since transparency and honesty are very important to me. If the commissioner needs for the artwork to be delivered within a specific time period, such will have to be discussed with me beforehand and a priority fee might be applied. I'm not an artist who rushes the process and I always make sure everything looks satisfying to me and to the Client before delivering.
